And They Say..."But Your Not Fat"

I'm sure most of you are wondering what I am talking about.  Well that is the response I get when I mention to my family or friends that I need to lose some weight.  My name is Clara and I've made some very unhealthy lifestyle choices.  I'm not huge, I weigh about 160lbs.  Yep, you just said it didn't you??  That's not fat!!  Well, at the rate I am going, if it doesn't stop then I will be overweight very soon. 

I am a wife and mother of 4 children and my bad habits are slowly becoming their habits.  I need that to change right now. I want to be able to walk up a flight of stairs without being winded or play a game of tag with my kids.  I don't want to wake up in the morning and crave a Dr. Pepper.

I started reading a book called "Body by God".  I've realized that my health, my weight, and even our finances are all failing, because of my eating habits. It's taught me so far that I need to be inspired, not motivated. So, I am going to use God and my family as my inspiration to lose weight and get in shape.  The one verse that is giving me inspiration is "commit to the Lord whatever you do, your plans will succeed." Proverbs 16:3. 

I decided to create my own website where I can journal (hopefully every day) to see my progress.  I'm sure some days will be easier than others, but with my inspiration I will be successful.  Please come back often and see how I'm doing.  Thanks!
